Two Mobile Pumps Set Up in RW 05 Rambutan Urban Village

Those two pumps had 50 liters capacity. We also want to educate locals about how to operate these pumps

In anticipation of inundation and flooding in the rainy season, two mobile pumps of the East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency were alerted to the Police Housing Complex, RW 05, Rambutan Urban Village, Ciracas.

"Those two pumps had 50 liters capacity. We also want to educate locals about how to operate these pumps," said East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, Tuesday (12/1).

According to him, this pump borrowing was only for temporary handling. Another step needed to be done was by normalizing the Cipinang River.

"Especially in river areas where there is narrowing and blockage in Kramat Jati area," he explained.

By so, RW 05 Rambutan Urban Village Chairman Sumarno hoped that residents could get knowledge on how to use the pump.

"Then our village can be free from inundation and flooding," he stated.
